No to bullying

Recent events in our community
Recent events in our community regarding bullying and intimidation have been challenging to process. I’ve spent the past week listening and reading about many heartbreaking experiences.
 
Bullying is painful and humiliating. No one deserves to be treated this way.
 
As a mother, this is my biggest fear,  to send my children out into the world only to have someone make them feel unwanted and unworthy. A few years ago, my daughter was bullied to a point where she would come home crying every day. 
 
I do not tolerate this behavior as I’ve seen firsthand the impact it leaves behind.
 
I have spoken with Vincent expressing my feelings about the situation and how disappointed I am. I have cancelled immediate collaborations with Les Garçons. 
 
I hope Vincent continues to seek the help he needs to heal.

Max of Les Garçons has done it again! His space knitter illustration has been turned into a project bag for Rose City Yarn Crawl. You can find these both online and in-person at Starlight Knitting Society starting February 24, 2022, while quantities last.  

Melissa, Max, and Vincent have been supporting me for some time now and I’m proud of all the work we’ve done thus far. I’m honored to be included in this special collaboration.

I had the pleasure of working with Max and Vincent of Les Garçons once again. The new bag features Vincent the dyer and Max the spinner screen printed on charcoal canvas with white ink. This project bag is the perfect size for a single skein project like socks, hats, or mittens.

Pearadise Island x Les garcons

I’m excited to share with you today this special collaboration with Maxim Cyr of Les garcons! Max is an artist extraordinaire – a knitwear designer, author, and illustrator and I’m honored for the opportunity to create a special project bag with his art!

You may recognize the bear is wearing Vincent’s The Montrealer and the fox wearing Max’s For Fox Sake sweater. Isn’t it adorable?

Pearadise Island x Les garcons

The bag is made of organic cotton canvas in Olive and I screen printed the design using Permaset Aqua‘s white ink.

This bag is customized with the Les garcons logo screen printed on the back.

The pocket, lining, and top casing are also made with organic cotton canvas in black. The zipper and drawstring cords are in white to match the ink.
